Vikram Vedha Review

Vikram Vedha action crime thriller film written and directed by Pushkar Gayathri featuring R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. Shraddha Srinath, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Kathir play supporting roles. Produced by Sashikanth.

Encounter specialist Vikram and notorious gangster Vedha are played lead role by Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi. It’s a treat to watch two intense performers Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi majestically own the screen together.

The film begins with an encounter operation where Vedha surrender himself without giving much work to the police. An encounter operation turns the professional into personal. Confidence of Vikram is shattered as Vedha begins to unravel the flaws in the former’s judgements with a series of personal stories that gradually unveils a much bigger conspiracy in the story. This story revolves around a police and a thief. Madhavan’s acting was so realistic to bring in a real encounter specialist and so equal to him was vijay sethupathi. Vedha is also ruthless when it comes to being a gangster. Each time Vikram comes close to pinning him down, Vedha narrates a backstory and Vikram gets a clue from it. It keeps the audience at the edge of the chair.

Directors Pushkar Gayathri rightly explains the characteristics of Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in their intro scenes. The film also portrayed two real life intelligent women, Shraddha Srinath as the independent new generation lawyer wife is brilliant and Varalakshmi too has got an audacious and innocent role. The cast also includes Varalakshmi, Shraddha Srinath and Kathir playing supporting roles.

Vinod’s camera angles perfectly captured the raw North Madras and Sam CS score is undoubtedly the film’s lifeline, his background score enhances each and every scene, particularly in the tense vijay sethupathy moments.
