Jayam Ravi – He got struck with Aadhi Bhagavan & Nimirndhu Nil for 3 years & those 2 movies didn’t succeed much at the Box Office. Now, 3 of his movies are going to release within 3 months (Romeo Juliet, Sakalakala Vallavan & Thani Oruvan). Though Romeo Juliet received mixed response, the movie turned to be profitable one for various theater owners & distributors.

Director Suraj is known for giving minimum guarantee commercial films such as Thalai Nagaram, Marudhamalai, Padikathavan & Mappillai. His last movie ‘’Alex Pandian” bombed at the box office. Now he is back with Jayam Ravi – Trisha Combo & good supporting actors with yet another commercial entertainer. Let us see whether he satisfies the Common Man in this review.

Story – Jayam Ravi loves Soori’s cousin Anjali, while Soori loves Jayam Ravi’s cousin Trisha. What happens next forms the crux of the story

Jayam Ravi – He is a good actor without any doubt, but his script selection is letting him down most of the times. He has given his best yet again as an actor.

Prabhu – A Wonderful actor is wasted with poor characterization. He absolutely doesn’t have any scenes to perform in the movie.

Trisha – She appears in the movie, only few minutes before the interval block. She doesn’t have much opportunity to act in the second half too.

Anjali – She is making her comeback in Kollywood after 2 years. She has been used as a glamour doll throughout the first half.

Soori – It looked as though the scenes in the movie were written for Vadivelu. Most of the scenes in which Soori acted resemble Vadivelu comedy scenes.

Rajendran – Due to his popularity now, Director has extended his scenes by 15 minutes in the climax, which tests the patience of the audience.

Vivek – His portions in the movie looks completely disconnected from the movie.
Music Director Thaman – All the songs from the movie are lifted from Thaman’s Telugu hit songs & hence, you can see 3 Audio labels in the poster for this movie.

Editor R.K. Selva – Movie runs for 2 hours & 40 minutes without any continuity. Story would not have been impacted even if 45 minutes of the movie was removed.

Director Suraj – He has given yet another commercial masala entertainer with tried & tested comedy scenes, heroine with glamorous costumes & travels around with no story or screenplay.
