The upcoming grand Onam Celebration called ‘Aavani Poovarangu’ by Confederation of Tamilnadu Malayalee Associations (CTMA) will once again prove the strong bonding between Tamilnadu and Kerala. The two days grand festival ‘Aavani Poovarangu’ is about to happen on October 8th and 9th at Pachaiyappas College ground, Poonamallee High Road, Chennai. The official confirmation of ‘Aavani Poovarangu’ was announced on yesterday by the members of Confederation of Tamilnadu Malayalee Associations (CTMA) that includes Sri. M P Purushothaman (President of Honor, CTMA), Sri. Gokulam Gopalan (Chairman, CTMA), Sri. M A Salim (President CTMA), Sri V C Praveen (Chairman – Aavani Poovarangu) and Dr. A V Anoop (Chairman, JAC). ‘Aavani Poovarangu’ will witness the presence of renowned celebrities Director Hariharan, KS Sethuraman, Director I V Sasi (Allauddinum Arphutha Vilakkum), Actress Seema, Art Director Sabu Cyril, Actor Srinivasan and many more film stars.
It is to be noted that ‘Aavani Poovarangu’ is stepping into their 18th year of celebration which also acts as a strong basement for the benefits of both Tamilnadu and Kerala. “So far we have organized 180 heart surgeries. We are happy to know that out of 180, 179 children are alive and active. Thanks to Padmashree Kamal Haasan sir for being our Ambassador… Apart from organizing cultural programs, these social activities are our main responsibilities…” declares V C Praveen, the Chairman of Aavani Poovarangu.
