Director – Solai Prakash
Starcast – Sasikumar, Tanya, Kovai Sarala
Sasikumar is back with yet another rural entertainer Balle Vellaiya Thevaa, this time has an out-and-out comedy drama. Written and directed by Solai Prakash, Darbuka Siva of Kidaari fame is the music director , Ravindranath Guru is the cinematographer and Praveen Anthony is the editor. The film has Tanya Ravichandran, daughter of yesteryear actor Ravichandran making her debut, while Sangili Murugan, Kovai Sarala, Rohini, and Leesha play important roles.
The plot revolves around Sasikumar, an aspiring government job seeker, who relocates to Vayalaar Gramam after his mother gets a transfer. There he meets Selfie Kathayee, played by Kovai Sarala and a bonding develops. Trouble brews when Sasikumar uses his own dish rather than the local network. An irritated cable operator takes his revenge.
Sasikumar, as usual, fits the role perfectly. This role is nothing new to him as he has done a slew of roles similar to this.
Debutant Tanya has done a commendable job in the limited scope available.
Kovai Sarala as Selfie Kathayee is hilarious, her combo scenes with Sasikumar is interesting. Among the rest Sangili Murugan, Rohini, and Leesha have done a decent job.
Music by Darbuka Siva is Ok while Ravindranath’s camera works compliments
