Ayyanar owns a huge abandoned mansion in his village and he has been trying to sell the mansion for a long time but no genuine buyers come forward to buy the place. When he finally finds a wealthy buyer he comes to know that he needs to find his runaway sister in order to seal the deal. After an exhaustive search he finally finds her and they set off to clean the mansion and try to keep it as presentable as possible. Amidst their cleaning they find a huge snake’s den and decide to break it and when they try blood starts to ooze out of the holes.
Assuming that they’ve killed a snake they proceed to clean the mansion and move in to it with their family to create a warm atmosphere. Ever since they disturbed the snake’s den strange incidents happen around the mansion and they start to feel an eerie presence around them. What is the eerie presence? Is it after them? Who does it possess? Do they make it alive? Watch Aranmanai to find out.
Director Sundar C has done a very positive role in this film and he carries off the role perfectly with his subtle acting. His screenplay has a mix of his signature comedy and gripping scenes which makes sure it entertains us throughout. Vinay has given us a very realistic performance and the three divas of the film Andreah, Hansika and Rai Laxmi are as bubbly as ever. The show stealer in the film is Santhanam, who makes us laugh endlessly with his witty humour and perfect timing. The music and cinematography compliment the engaging screenplay.
