In the 3D animated comedy, The Angry Birds Movie, we'll finally find out why the
birds are so angry.
The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or
almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis, We‘re the Millers, Horrible
Bosses), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad in his first
animated role since Frozen)), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride, This is the
End, Eastbound and Down) have always been outsiders. But when the island is
visited by mysterious green pigs, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out
what the pigs are up to. The pigs include Ross (Tony Hale) and Earl (Blake
Shelton), led by Leonard (Bill Hader). The flock teams up to investigate the pigs
and their intentions.
With a view to introduce the characters to the kids who are already feeling the
intensity of heat in the scorching summer season that has just set in, the makers
had brought the main characters cloaked in their screen costumes to Chennai!
The characters were found moving about in multiplexes and malls much to the
delight of all the kids concerned who had assembled in large numbers to take a
look at the Angry Birds besides posing for photos with them!
The film is based on the 2009 video game franchise, Angry Birds with a running
time of about 95 minutes, reportedly made at a budget of $80 million. The film
has been scheduled for release on May 27 th both in English and Tamil.
